Consultation & Design
- Client consultation: Discuss expectations, budget and wrap type (gloss, matte, satin, textured, printed).
- Vehicle inspection: Evaluate paint condition, dents, scratches or body damage.
Vehicle Preparation
- Thorough wash: Remove all dirt, grease, wax and contaminants using pH-neutral soap.
- Clay bar treatment: Removes embedded debris from the paint surface.
- Decontamination: Wipe down vehicle with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to ensure a clean surface, especially around edges, trim and door handles.
Vinyl Installation
- Environment control: Install in a clean, dust-free, temperature-controlled workshop.
- Dry fitting and measurements: Position vinyl without adhesive contact to ensure correct placement, size and alignment.
- Application:
- Use heat gun and squeegee to stretch, mold and smooth the vinyl over curves and contours.
- Remove air bubbles with proper technique.
- Tucking & trimming:
- Tuck excess vinyl into seams, under weather stripping and behind trim.
- Carefully trim excess with precision blades for clean edges.
- Post-heating:
- Apply heat to all edges and curved areas to activate adhesive memory and prevent lifting.
Finishing Touches
- Reassemble components: Reattach any removed parts with care to avoid damaging the wrap.
- Final inspection: Check for bubbles, lifting, stretch marks, or improper alignment.
